Lancia returns to UK

Fri 8 Sep, 2006 15:26

Lancia has confirmed that it will return to the UK in 2008.

The first model will be the Delta HPE, a name that echoes the Beta HPE (High Performance Estate) of the 1970s. The new model is a five door hatchback and will conform to Lancia's current positioning of style and luxury. There will be nothing to remind owners of the Delta Integrale rally cars - sporty cars are to be left to Alfa Romeo under the Fiat brand strategy.

The Delta HPE will be followed by a version of the Fulvietta concept car - itself a re-interpretation of the classic Fulvia of the 1960s. Hang on, wasn't that the Fulvia famous primarily for being a great rally car...?
