Russian strippers steal cars

Thu 7 Sep, 2006 15:49

According to a report on ananova.com, a Russian gang has found a novel way of stealing expensive cars.

The scam started when three strippers took off all their clothes and starting washing each other on a man-made beach in Moscow. Passing motorists stopped and got out of their cars for a better view and gang members promptly stole the open cars (presumably with the keys still inside). Apparently "dozens of luxury cars" were involved.

This does raise a few questions. Presumably the gang must be very brave, or very well connected, to steal luxury cars in Moscow: given a sample of ten such cars in Russia, the chances are that one or two are owned by people you would rather not annoy. It would also be interesting to know how the men explained the thefts to their partners when they (eventually) got back home.
